“Airbus A320 # 2”

In this portfolio I explore a view not usually seen: the forms of aircraft flying precisely overhead, seemingly frozen on final approach. These highly detailed photographs reveal the complexity and beauty of form derived primarily of function. As objects they represent the ultimate in engineering and design, yet they evoke varied feelings including the ominous memory of 9/11. I cannot help but look up in wonder when I watch one of these giants take flight. As a pilot, this portfolio combines two of my passions. This project is ongoing. A book was published by Abrams. Jeffrey Milstein is represented by Paul Kopeikin Gallery, Los Angeles.
